LGBT groups across the country are protesting the movie adaptation of the young adult sci-fi classic Ender's Game, due to author Orson Scott Card's well known anti-homosexual views. It remains to be seen if the protests will spread to San Diego Comic Con, where production company Lionsgate has set up a props-filled promotional bunker and a Q&A panel.

The bunker is open first to press and contest winners initially and features a wide array of movie sets including classrooms, the Wiggin's home and the Battle School shuttle. Props are also on display inside like Ender's uniform and pistol. Stills from the movie and Battle School army badges abound.

Though Lionsgate maintains that it is a staunch supporter of the LGBT cause, Card's prominent position within the anti-gay rights National Organization for Marriage has ruffled quite a few feathers. Many can't stomach the idea of the prominent LGBT opponent receiving their money and boycotts and protests of the film have been planned.

Harrison Ford (who plays Battle School commander Hyrum Graff) and Asa Butterfield (who plays the titular role of Ender Wiggin) have a panel later in the week. Though Card himself will not be in attendance, expect protestors to make themselves heard at SDCC.
