Tamar Braxton, Sister of Toni and Star of 'Braxton Family Values,' Talks Having Another Child

Tamar Braxton is approaching the star-status of her sister Toni thanks to her busy schedule in the last few years. She's become the most attention-grabbing character on reality program "Braxton Family Values," earned a spot as a host on the talk-show "The Real," and even gotten some of the family's musical spotlight thanks to her successful single "Love and War." 

A little more than a month ago, Braxton gave birth to her first child with husband Vince Herbert. She told BET that she wasn't sure about having a second child yet, but that's not to say she won't change her mind. 

"I come from a big family and I never wanted kids before I met my husband," she said. "I think that right now we are enjoying ourselves being parents and we are going to take it just one day at a time. I don't know if we're going to have another kid or not. But just like everything else in my life, you have to stay tuned because I don't know. But I'd be open to it at this point."

Braxton is known for saying exactly what she thinks, and that quality raised some questions from fans when she said that it wasn't "love at first sight" with her newborn son, Logan. She explained that she didn't mean she didn't love him, it just wasn't the first thing that came to her head. 

"What I meant was, when I first had my son...yes, you do love your child," she said. "I love mine. But you're shocked. You cannot believe that this person was swimming in your belly for nine months and here you are. Now you're a mother. And I'm thinking, oh my goodness, I'm a mother and this is my baby. It feels like a dream actually. That's what I meant when I said I didn't fall in love immediately. I was in complete shock."

Braxton also mentioned that the celebrity parents she most admires are Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey for raising their kids not to be snobs.
