It's recently become established that Suri Cruise is not a fan of the paparazzi. Born into a media storm because of her celebrity parents, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, it's understandable that Suri might be tired of the attention by now. Still, it's always a little surprising to see a seven year-old giving the middle finger to a cameraman.

Okay, that's somewhat of an exaggeration. A paparazzo did take a shot that very much looks like the young girl is flipping the bird, but some context is required. Suri was apparently playing with her hair  with two fingers whilst walking with Holmes. The photo in question happened at just the right moment to make it look like she's giving the paparazzi what for. Don't be surprised if she doesn't start doing it for real in the near future as her teenage years approach (time flies!), but for now she's still an innocent child.

Suri's treatment of and by the media came into the headlines last week when a photographer was caught on video referring to the girl as a "brat" and a "b---" after she glared and told the cameramen to get out of the way.

The guilty party requested that Suri turn around for a picture, which she did not respond to. The photographer then yelled "Bye Suri, you little brat." Another paparazzo questioned the first's actions, saying "whoa, whoa...when you're a father bro, it's a whole different thing."

Defending children from paparazzi attention has become a hot-button Hollywood issue in recent years. Halle Berry spoke in the California Capitol in June about establishing a bill that would create restrictions against photographing the underage children of celebrities.
