Zack Snyder's recent Superman reboot Man of Steel opened the door and planted the seeds for a shared DC Cinematic Universe, which many fans hope would culminate with a Justice League movie.

That led some fans to wonder if Ryan Reynolds would once again step into the green and black suit to portray Hal Jordan in a superhero team-up film. MTV's Josh Horowitz asked just that question, and here's what he had to say:

"But Reynolds' most revealing answer by far was his opinion on a different comic book movie role from his past: Hal Jordan, the intergalactic space cop at the heart of 'Green Lantern.' With rumors of a 'Justice League' movie heating up, it's possible that Reynolds could return for the team-up, despite the disastrous 'Green Lantern' box-office results.

Possible - but not likely.

Horowitz asked Reynolds if he would buy the domain name for greenlanternsequel.com, and the answer was not encouraging.

'I don't think you can sell that to anyone,' he quipped."

The 2011 Green Lantern movie was a critical and commercial flop. It cost $200 million to make and pulled in just under $220 million. The movie holds a 26 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
