Two con men have been charged with scamming Lady Gaga and Rihanna-hungry promoters out of their hard-earned money to the tune of $2 million. According to TMZ, the men organized fake shows around top-dollar acts like Mother Monster and RiRi to trick easily fooled promoters.

According to the gossip website, Sylvester Vincent Carroll and Meceo McEaddy pretended to represent the divas in order to help trusting reps and their cash part ways (and their alleged schemes were global, allegedly bilking bookers from countries like Taiwan and Brazil). The Manhattan District Attorney has charged the two men grand larceny and scheming to defraud in the first degree.

The men remain in custody and are awaiting trial.
