'Glee' creator, Ryan Murphy confirmed on Saturday to news outlets that he is planning a tribute episode to honor the now deceased star by addressing the death of Finn, the lovable football player that Cory Monteith played on the show. The tribute show will be the third episode to air after two already-written episodes. Afterward, the show will go on a hiatus for further plot changes.

'Glee' fans are still very much in mourning after the death of 'Glee' star, Cory Monteith was announced last Saturday, July 13th.  A memorial of photos, lyrics and flowers has continuously grown outside of the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel where Monteith was found dead.

About 250 fans gathered for a candlelight vigil on Friday, July 19th in Vancouver. Fans signed endearing messages on a smiley-face balloon that was eventually let go into the sky. They also sang along to 'Don't Stop Believin,' a song that Monteith famously sang on the show.

In an interview with The Province, Monteith's cousin Richard, who attended the vigil, stated:

"It's heartbreaking and exciting; it's a bunch of mixed emotions at the same time."

Glee stars and fans are sharing their thoughts via social media.

Co-star Amber Riley stated on Twitter:

"Yesterday I got to sit with my Glee family and remember a man I considered a brother and friend. With a very heavy heart, RIP Cory Monteith. Continued prayer for his family and Lea. Sendings hugs to all you gleeks."

Off screen, Monteith had an on-and off romance with fellow cast member Lea Michele, who plays the overachieving and extremely talented Rachel Berry.  At the time of his death, the couple was considered to be in a supportive and stable relationship as Michele supported his choice to go into rehab in April 2013.
