Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks 11-Year-Old Fan's Wrist [VIDEO]: Real Madrid Star's Free Kick is 'One of the Most Spectacular Ways You Can Get Your Arm Broken'

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the world's most talented and sought after football (soccer) players, so when one of his free kicks ended up breaking a fan's arm, the 11-year-old was not resentful at all. The shot was fired from 35 yards out, flew just over the crossbar of the goal and ended up breaking Charlie Silverwood's wrist in two places. This young fan stuck it out for the rest of the 84 minutes of Real Madrid's friendly match against Bournemouth before going to the hospital. Ronaldo and his teammates felt bad about the incident, so Charlie received a signed Real Madrid jersey for his toughness.

"It's one of the most spectacular ways you can get your arm broken," the tough fan declared.

"It was very painful," young Charlie told The Sun. "I've told friends and they cannot believe it. Ronaldo is the world's most expensive player - and he broke my arm."

"I could see the ball coming towards me," he explained. "It curled past the post and was going to hit my face - so I had to block it with my hand. My dad was sat next to me and ducked out of the way so I took the full force."

His seemingly uncourageous father, Lee, added: "It all happened in a blur. One minute we were watching Ronaldo stand over the ball and the next it was flying towards Charlie. It must have been travelling at a rate of knots and hit Charlie right on the wrist."

Real Madrid spokesman Juan Camilo Andrade said: "We will be donating a memento to Charlie."
