After nearly four decades of music, Blondie (the band behind hits like "Call Me" and "Rapture") may finally be calling it quits. Apparently, the potential break up will come after a world tour in support of a new album. The possible split is due to lead singer Debbie Harry's advanced age.

"Debbie is 11 years older than the rest of us, so it's on her mind," drummer Clem Burke told The Daily Mail. "We've tried to keep it going for as long as possible, but it's not just up to me. Nothing is finalised yet, but obviously there's no Blondie without Debbie Harry."

Blondie plans to release a new album called Ghosts of Download later this year and then go on tour. Burke says during their last tour, Harry began to show signs of stress.

During a performance in Liverpool last month, the singer began to talk about how much she loved rival city Manchester.

"Poor Debbie hadn't joined the dots, so I had to intervene," Burke said. The band played "Please, Please Me" to ease tension in the crowd.

What do you think of the news that Blondie might be no more? Do you think it's time for Debbie Harry and Co. to hang it up.
