Actress Lea Michele returned to Twitter for the first time after the death of her boyfriend and fellow "Glee" actor Cory Monteith. The account had been silent since July 12, the day prior to the discovery of Monteith's body. The actress thanked her fans for their support during the tough times.

"Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart," she wrote, attaching a photograph of her and Monteith enjoying themselves and wearing sunglasses.

Monteith was found dead on July 13 at a hotel in Vancouver from an overdose of alcohol and alcohol. The actor had struggled with substance abuse in the past, but had attended rehab and seemed to be doing fine, much of his success attributed to Michele's good influence. The actress was on vacation in Mexico at the time Monteith died.

The actress had largely disappeared from public for the few weeks following Monteith's death. She released an official statement through her publicist a few days following his death. She was rumored to be highly involved in the planning of Monteith's memorial service with his family. She and Ryan Murphy, the writer for "Glee," recently organized a gathering for the cast of the television show, where the actors shared stories and music in memory of Monteith.

The couple met while filming the show and began dating in 2012. Friends and family seemed to think that the relationship was moving quickly however.

"Their lives revolved around each other," Monteith's cousin Richard Monteith said. "I guess marriage would have been the next step."
