Claire Danes and Damien Lewis were part of a "Homeland" panel on the Television Critics Association press tour and the two revealed some details about the upcoming Season 3 of the Showtime hit.

Here are some highlights from the panel from IGN:

Danes on Carrie Mathison's mental state:

"Carrie is always sitting on her own personal ticking bomb. It's an impossible dilemma; she's not great on her meds, and she's even worse off. But there is a really great sweet spot that she's always trying to land on where she's exceptionally high performing. She's one off her meds for all sorts of reasons that she believes strongly in."

She shrugged her shoulders and said with a laugh, "What can you do?"

Carrie will be off her medication again at the start of Season 3. Danes also said that her character will rejoin her allies this season.

"Carrie's been in isolation for large part of the season and is only now trying to team-up with some of the other characters," Danes said.

Lewis on Nicholas Brody's whereabouts:

"Brody is on the lam. He's disappeared into a network and exfiltration system that Carrie's set in motion, and he's the most wanted criminal in the world, so he has to lay low. When you do see him hopefully what will be of interest to the audience is what state he's in."

Some have speculated that Brody was indeed involved in the CIA bombing from the Season 2 finale, but the producers refused to confirm or deny that idea. They did, however, say that some of the main characters could be at risk of death this season, and Lewis chimed in on that matter.

"These guys have been trying to kill me since episode 1," Lewis laughed. "You must be ruthless with story and character. We've seen a few characters disappear and there probably will be more. The audience is so literate these days, so good at guessing. So it's the timing that they (the writers) have in their power. You can surprise the audience with the timing of how things happen, if you get there right before the audience does."
