Earlier this month, "Believe" crooner Justin Bieber performed a cover of Eminem's hit rap song "Lose Yourself" during a concert in Detroit. Several Slim Shady fans were NOT amused. But did fans know that back in 2011, "Red" songstress Taylor Swift also performed an acoustic version of "Lose Yourself?" The country gal's cover received a lot less backlash compared to the Biebs. Readers can watch both clips below and decide which "Lose Yourself" rendition probably pisses Em off the most! Meanwhile, details surrounding Shady's highly-anticipated new album still remain unknown... although release date rumors now surround Labor Day (September 2).

As Mstars previously reported:

Check out this little Youtube gem posted back in 2010...

Yup - that's 19-year-old "Believe" crooner Justin Bieber busting out a rhyme to Eminem's hit song "Lose Yourself" during a concert in DETROIT. Should Slim Shady be honored, or just plain insulted?

Well, several Youtube fans weren't impressed. Don't mess with Eminem City, Biebs:

lq994: "HOW COULD HE USE EM's BEST SONG TO F#CK IT UP, AND HE DID IT IN SHADY's CITY - DETROIT. F#CK JB!"

kierondunk: "Bieber has outdid himself here... this is the lowest of the low."

Tunahan Seferler: "Fuck Jb fuckin pu##y."

Keep701: "Sorry 'bro,' but your balls aren't even close enough to dropping to imitate something that you'll never be. Poser."

1stLinkinparkfan: "[WTF], I hate him more, it's Eminem city, Eminem's best song, and what??? He came there to sing it thinking it'd be cool. -.-"

Ouch.

But such hate doesn't seem to have bothered the Biebs... he performed the same Eminem song AGAIN on Sunday (July 28) in Detroit:

Peyman Shahsavarkhani: "anybody else noticed that he got the very first line wrong? he says: 'his palms are heavy' F#CKIN FA#GOT dont come to the d and disrespect eminem. u better know his lyrics before you try to cover it in his hometown f#ckin b#tch."

AlanVillarreal12: "this no its rap... is s#it."

But do Mstars readers think Shady agrees with the rather negative backlash? Admittedly, the Biebs did sort of bomb the rap cover. Just check out this "Justin Bieber vs. Eminem: 'Lose Yourself'" version that's since gone viral online:

Details surrounding Em's highly-anticipated new album still remain scarce, but would fans like to see a song "bashing" Bieber's attempt at rapping?

How about for Taylor Swift?

Fans went easier on this one:

Fearless13781: "Honestly, this is such an amazing cover. I don't see what the huge joke about it was. Taylor's voice is absolutely incredible. Just her and her guitar, Taylor can sing anything flawlessly."

Matty T: "I'm a MASSIVE eminem fan and the Bieber cover of this genuinely made me really angry simply because it was a terrible cover, mistakes in the lyrics and i'm pretty sure he is tone deaf. But this one is actually good. Well done Taylor, not an easy thing to do."

sprague29212: "She did alot better than bieber holy s#it."

So, what do Mstars readers think?

As for Shady's 2013 album... nothing remains confirmed. Not sure where these rumors originated from, but apparently Eminem might release his highly-anticipated new album on Labor Day (September 2, 2013). That's in exactly one month.

An official Labor Day release date sort of makes sense... rumors suggest that Shady wants to debut the new record following his European tour this August. That means early fall... maybe even Sept. 2nd?

Fans shouldn't hold their breath, though. The same thing was said about the day after Memorial Day (May 28). And obviously that never happened. What's with Eminem supposedly scheduling the release of his unnamed eighth studio record around USA-inspired holidays? Sounds a little fishy...
