AMC released a behind-the-scenes video on Thursday that features the cast of the hit show "The Walking Dead." The actors discuss the upcoming Season 4 and offer some previews on what fans can expect.
Leading man Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes, promises that the writing on the show would be much darker and much more exciting in Season 4. He also said that Rick must grow as a father, as the survivors will deal with even more threats from outside the gates of the prison.
Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd says that viewers will see even more zombies than in seasons past.
Chandler Riggs, who plays Rick's son, Carl, added that his character would act like more of a child in Season 4.
As Mstars previously reported, David Morrissey's Governor would receive two dedicated episodes in the upcoming season. According to Michael Ausiello's "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine:
"Question: The new Walking Dead trailer looks crazy good, but it was decidedly Governor-lite. How big a presence will David Morrissey have in Season 4? -Cris
Ausiello: Well, I can tell you that he'll have a major presence in at least two Season 4 episodes, both of which are being unofficially billed as "standalone Governor" installments. No specific intel on when those episodes will air, but I hear they'll likely fall in the first chunk of eight (premiering Sunday, Oct. 13)."
MStars also reported the following news from the "Mega Buzz" column at TVLine:
"How will Tyreese fit into the group on The Walking Dead this year? -Eric
Even though Tyreese has put himself on the line to help Rick & Co. before, we'll see that he's more of a gentle giant this year as he struggles with staying alive in the apocalypse. 'You'll have an opportunity to witness this man wrestle with the rules of engagement around him and where he fits in that world and his own inner [demons],' Chad Coleman says. 'To me, it feels like a firm belief in non-violent conflict resolution, but how does that fit in a claustrophobic world? I believe you'll see him tested and no one goes unscathed.'"
