Mumford & Sons are known for their full-bodied sound, rooted in traditional folk music and carried out with heartfelt lyrics, melodic mandolins and banjos and powerful blasts of emotion that resonate with fans of rock, folk and pop music alike.

Like any group that has a niche, Mumford & Sons have faced some criticism for their sameness: there are blog posts and memes that point out the number of times Marcus Mumford sings "stone" and "hand," Reddit images that poke fun at the fast-picking instrumentation and criticism of their music videos' similarities (Mumford & Sons have a tendency to opt for the simple performance clip).

Though the "I Will Wait" band's latest music video for "Babel" track "Hopeless Wanderer" begins with typical Mumford fare: a picturesque field during sunset, while vested and trouser-wearing men unpack banjos, a vintage piano and acoustic guitar, the video quickly reveals itself as something different...

It is not Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane in the music video: it's comedians Jason Sudeikis, Ed Helms, Jason Bateman and Will Forte.

The foursome takes a truly inspired turn in emulating the British folk band. Helms constantly clutches at his heart, Sudeikis perfectly imitates Mumford's intense look, Bateman looks so incredibly earnest that it's vaguely uncomfortable and Forte just takes things on a whole new level, sobbing into his manly, grizzly beard.

What begins as simple lampooning of Mumford's tropes escalates into an insane music video. Sudeikis and Forte make out after sobbing, the "band members" smash instruments and the take a vaudevillian approach while playing banjos. Eventually, Forte humps his stand up bass. It's just that kind of video.
