Simon Cowell, Lauren Silverman Baby Mama Divorce Drama: X Factor Judge Will Pay For Divorce

Simon Cowell wants his child's mother to quietly settle her divorce to prevent anymore public embarrassment.

Andrew Silverman and Lauren Silverman were married while the affair between Simon and Lauren was escalating. According to TMZ, Cowell wants to help fund Lauren's divorce fees since she will only get the minimal from her prenup.

A source tells TMZ, that Lauren is worried about losing her 7-year-old son in order to keep Simon happy.

 Simon Cowell's baby's mother Lauren Silverman and husband, Andrew Silverman have released a statement on the "adultery" claims in the midst of their divorce.

On Thursday, Andrew released a statement saying: "My top priority is protecting my 7-year-old son while working to resolve all outstanding issues with my wife," he added, "Hopefully people can respect the interest of our child during this process."

In a separate statement, Lauren said: "I am committed to sorting things out with Andrew as amicably as possible to ensure the well-being of our son. I would hope for some space and privacy in order to work through this."

Simon Cowell is expecting his first child by his good friend's wife, Lauren Silverman. According to the Daily News a source says the news was a shock to the former Idol judge, "The pregnancy has taken him by surprise. He assumed she was using birth control," the source added, "Simon thought this was a casual relationship - friends with benefits. The pregnancy was not planned."

Lauren's husband, Andrew Silverman filed for divorce after finding out the news and plans on dragging in Cowell for the ugly divorce battle. The real estate mogul filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court as a no-fault divorce, which is not applicable in New York.

Although, Cowell never seemed fond of settling down and went back-and-forth on the idea of having any children, his mother Julie seems to be ecstatic if the news were to be confirmed by her son, "I've not heard anything officially. But if it's true then I'm absolutely delighted. It's wonderful! He'll make a fantastic father. He'll be great."

Former Flame Carmen Electra, told E! News "I'm so happy for him!" She added, "What I witnessed working with him on Britain's Got Talent and coming to see him during X Factor is that the people he truly believes in, he stands up for them and supports them. So I obviously think that his child will be very well taken care and very, very loved. I'm going to call him as soon as I get in the car after the event. I want to know if it's a boy or a girl. It's awesome, I'm super happy for him."
