MGMT 'Your Life Is A Life' [VIDEO]: Duo Releases Comedic New Video Single Off Self-Titled Album 'MGMT'

Eelectic duo Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT are back with a new single "Your Life Is A Lie," off there forthcoming album MGMT. The duo teamed up with director Tom Kuntz for the comedic and quarky new video.

MGMT have been performing "Your Life Is A Life," for months now, and while the lyrics, may not catch on as easily as "Electric Eel," the visuals compensate. The video features a series of weird images from men in the underwear, to an old man in drag holding a cute little puppie, while watching TV.

Goldwasser and VanWyngarden spoke with French Magazine, Brain, about the direction of their music and what people can expect on their new album. "We want people to be a little bit confused when they listen to our music and we don't want it to be easy to get but we want it to be accessible to everybody," said keyboard player and lyricist Benjamin Nicholas Hunter Goldwasser in the interview. "We don't want to exclude anybody and say you're not cool enough to listen to MGMT."

The new self-titled MGMT album will be out September 17th but in the meantime, check out the video for "Your Life Is A Lie" below.
