The Oak Ridge Boys are a band that created a real staple for country music back when they were making new songs and taking up a huge percentage of time spent on the radio. Now the band is still together, they are still playing concerts, and they are still meeting those who are influential in the country community. The difference now is when they were making music they were meeting people that inspired them, and now they are meeting people that were inspired by them. It is a really neat phenomenon, and is a road that many of country music's legends have gotten to trod.
The Oak Ridge Boys formed a very long time ago. They have a few famous songs, such as "Y'all Come Back Saloon" and perhaps their most famous song of all "Elvira."
Elvira came out in 1981 on their album Fancy Free, which provided the Oak Ridge Boys with plenty of number one time in the country charts. They have been playing songs since the 70s, which makes them all that much more inspirational seeing as they are still touring right now.
