Last week we brought you the news that Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. were filing suit against the Marvin Gaye estate to preemptively strike down any legal action the family might take against "Blurred Lines," their Billboard chart-dominating hit that pays homage to Gaye's "Got To Give It Up." If Gaye's son Marvin Gaye III's comments are any indication the plan backfired. MG3 seems to have every intention of filing a countersuit against Thicke, et. al.

"There's a way to do business and a way not to do business, and we're not happy with the way he went about doing the business," Marvin Gaye III said in an interview with TMZ. "Let alone he's suing us over something where he clearly got his inspiration from at the least."

Gaye the Third says you'd have to be crazy not to hear the similarities between the two songs (especially when Thicke cited "Got To Give It Up" specifically as inspiration for the track).

"If you listen to the music, I'm sure anyone will see the similarities between what my father does and what Robin Thicke has been trying to do," said Gaye.

While Gaye's son0 never came out and said that he intends to sue, he did mention that he is in talks with his lawyer over the dispute. Check out the whole interview below:
