Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance at this weekend's Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary show in Milwaukee, according to the Inquisitr. Grohl surprised fans when he showed up on stage during Chevy Metal's set. It maybe shouldn't have been too much of surprise considering Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins is the drummer and vocalist for Chevy Metal, who are described as a "70's dirt rock cover band." Grohl also announced recently that Foo Fighters have finished writing for their new album expected out in 2014.

According to Inquistr, legendary rocker Joan Jett was also at the show, watching from backstage. Chevy Metal with Grohl performed a number of covers, including Van Halen's "Panama" and Rolling Stones' "Miss You."

Grohl is a busy man. Loudwire reports that Grohl announced recently that Foo Fighters just finished writing music for a new album that will come out in 2014. "Well, I'll tell you, we have been in our studio writing and in the past few weeks we've written an album and we are going to make this album in a way that no one's ever done before and we're pretty excited about it," Grohl told XFM.

Grohl also talked with XFM about the 20th anniversary release of Nirvana's In Utero album. The re-release of the album will be on Sept. 24th with plenty of never before released material. According to Loudwire, the re-release will include never-before-released bonus performances from Nirvana, more than 70 remastered and remixed live recordings, the complete live performances of Nirvana's "Live and Loud" show in Seattle back in 1993, and more!
