The Foo Fighters are coming out with a new album. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like their new music will be ready in time for 2013, but 2014 is the expected release date. Dave Grohl recently told XFM that the band is finished writing the music for their new album and fans should expect their latest project to come out sometime next year.

"Well, I'll tell you, we have been in our studio writing and in the past few weeks, we've written an album," Grohl told XFM. "And we are going to make this album in a way that no one's ever done before, and we're pretty excited about it."

While no one seems to be sure what Grohl means by making the album in a way "no one's ever done before," fans should be excited to find out. What could the rock band possibly be doing that is so groundbreaking?

Grohl; however, did say that they have yet to record any of the music. "It's a little way off - it's not ready to happen right now, but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question," Grohl said. "It's going to be great, I can't wait."

Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett has confirmed that the band has started working on a new album and also added that recording should begin in 2014. "We actually just started making a new Foo Fighters record within the last few weeks. We've started rehearsing," Shiflett told Rolling Stone. "It was a very short hiatus. We're going to start recording the new Foo Fighters record at the beginning of next year."
