Today marks the 17th anniversary of rapper Tupac Shakur death. In September 7, 1996 the rapper was involved in a drive by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada and later died six days later at the Southern Nevada University Medical Center.

At 25-years old the rapper left the music world in the middle of a West coast/East coast rivalry after surviving a shooting November 30, 1994 in which the rapper was shot five times.

The deceased rapper made a holographic appearance at the 2012 Coachella with the help of president of AV Concepts Nick Smith, "We worked with Dr. Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life," he added, "It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life."

RIP Tupac!
