Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth News Update: 'Hunger Games' Star Embarrassed By 'Wrecking Ball' Singer's Twerking VMA Performance, But NOT Straying With January Jones

Time to clear the air. Apparently, things are still rocky with Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. However, they are not as bad as previously thought. Inside sources claim that the Hunger Games star was embarrassed by the VMA performance of his "Wrecking Ball" fiancee, but reports that he has responded by looking for strange with January Jones appear to be completely untrue.

"He is embarrassed by her performance," an insider told E! News. "He is normally extremely laid back but her performance shocked him. He had no idea she was going to go that far." 

And while there have been reports of Liam looking for a "clean break" from Miley, Hemsworth's reps say that the claim of him sexting January Jones is just ridiculous. 

"The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated by Us Weekly. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction," Hemsworth's rep told E! News.

As for Miley, she's currently riding high on a wave of buzz about her performance and back-to-back VEVO record-breaking music videos ("We Can't Stop, "Wrecking Ball"). She's even rapping now as she gears up for the release of her new album, Bangerz.

That original E! source summed up most news of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's relationship with a bit of optimism that seems to hold true.

"They go through these phases and things usually work out," the unnamed source said.
