Paula Patton is squashing rumors about a possible beef between her and the "twerkng queen" Miley Cyrus. During her risqué MTV VMAs performance with Robin Thicke the singer said he wasn't phased by the grinding and twerk session her husband received on stage.

In and interview with Andy Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the Baggage Claim said, "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your...all my friends do it like that" the actress explained. "And, I don't really know what the big deal is."

The actress did admit she was shocked at the media frenzy it caused, "I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking Molly!" she added, "I don't understand. I didn't get the big deal."

Thicke told Star magazine, "We knew what we were getting ourselves into," Thicke added, "We're entertainers, and the VMAs [are] the perfect place for a little shock and awe. We kind of knew when we were in rehearsal and we were like, 'Okay, if you touch me with your foam finger all over my crotch, obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this'. But that was the whole point!"

After Miley Cyrus' 2013 MTV VMA performance, Robin Thicke's wife, Paula Patton didn't seem too pleased by her twerk session on Robin after she grabbed his "glory pole," and was rumored to have approached the "We Can't Stop" singer backstage.

Cyrus became a trending topic after she revealed a raunchy nude two piece and started twerking on singer Robin Thicke during his performance "Blurred Lines." According to Mediatakeout.com's sources Patton lost her cool when she saw Cyrus backstage, "We had to physically hold Paula back, she was ready to go crazy. Plus she seemed to be a little inebriated - maybe too much champagne," the insider explained.

Instagram went ballistic as they created memes of one of the wildest performance that night, but no one should be surprised that the former Disney star began twerking on stage after becoming famous for her unicorn twerk video and even joining rapper Juicy J during his concert to show her moves for concertgoers.
