According to recent reports, former Disney starlets Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are "viciously duking it out" over a supposed movie role following the life of singer Linda Ronstadt. Now, the two young songstress are in an all-out feud!

One alleged source tells the National Enquirer, "Linda was one of the greatest singers of her generation, and her life story is mesmerizing."

Ronstadt, a 67-year-old Grammy/Academy of Country Award winner, was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

So of course either Gomez or Lovato would love the opportunity to secure such a prestigious role.

"It's a dream role with Oscar potential," the insider continues. "Selena and Demi are both crazy for the part, and claws are being bared!"

It's hard to believe that Gomez and Lovato would catfight over a film role that's still only based on rumors.

According to a source for Gossip Cop, there's no truth to the Enquirer's report. In fact, there's not even a "big-screen biopic" about Ronstadt's life in the works. Justin Bieber's ex and "The X-Factor" beauty remain very close friends.
