Miley Cyrus can't stop promoting herself and her new career makeover. Now, the "Wrecking Ball" singer is the subject of an MTV documentary, "Miley: The Movement," and a trailer for the program debuted on MTV.com today (Sept. 19), just one day after the singer got her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Miley: The Movement" will cover the recording and promoting process of her upcoming fourth studio album "Bangerz." Full of studio footage, behind-the-scenes moments and interactions with her dedicated Smilers fan base.

As demonstrated in countless interviews before, Cyrus truly feels most like herself now, at 20 years old and remarks how she finally feels like she's in charge of her career. "I was born to become who I am right now. Right now, I'm at the point in my career where I can be what I want to be, who I want to be," she said in the trailer. "Everytime I do anything, I want to remember: this is what seperates me from everybody else. I'm free to do whatever I want, because I am starting as a new artist now."

This is notably different from her Disney/Hannah Montana days. Also different from her old self: the controversial VMAs performance, which seems to be at the center of the documentary.

"You're always going to make people talk, you might as well make them talk for, like, two weeks instead of two seconds," said Cyrus about the VMAs. The clip also shows the singer palling around with another former Disney girl gone wild: Britney Spears, where Cyrus remarks that she doesn't want to take the VMAs too seriously.

Watch the trailer for "Miley: The Movement" below.

MTV will air "Miley: The Movement" on Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. Her new album, which will show the world the new Miley Cyrus in full force, "Bangerz," drops six days later on Oct. 8.
