Eminem New Album 2013: 'MMLP2' Rapper to Announce Australia Tour in October Before Nov 5 Release Date? Stadium Concerts February-March 2014

Fans are anxious for the November 5 release of Eminem's new album "MMLP2." But how about a Slim Shady stadium tour? Music industry insiders claim that Eminem will jet-off to Australia from February-March 2014. Apparently, the popular Detroit rapper will officially announce his "come back" tour some time in October.

The Australian-based music website themusic.com.au was recently informed that Shady will make an official tour announcement in October. The concert series will take place in February in major stadium venues throughout Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. There will also be shows in Auckland, New Zealand.

According to the Herald Sun, big-name promoter Paul Dainty will announce a slew of Australian stadium tours featuring headliner Eminem sometime soon. Shady will play gigs in Australia from February-March 2014. No exact dates have yet to be confirmed.

Here's another fun fact - concert industry sources claim that Australia's annual Soundwave Festival was "invited to get involved" in negotiations with Eminem's upcoming tour. Apparently, things didn't work out. According to Soundwave boss AJ Maddah:

@PaddianneKiley: "true you tried to get eminem for soundwave?"

AJ @iamnotshouting: "Nope. We were working on a festival w him called Rapture. Didn't work out."

Festival organizers allegedly weren't interested because Shady would rather play big, solo headlining shows.

The last time Shady performed in Australia was 2011 - there was some controversy surrounding the "explicit" rapper, but he was told that if he "behaved" things would go smoothly. And they did.

Eminem is rumored to perform at Docklands, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Fairfax also recently confirmed that Shady's upcoming Australia tour will promote his eighth studio record, the "Marshall Mathers LP 2."
