Last night (Sept. 26), Twitter was taken over by an angry Kanye West, who went on a 45-minute long rant on the social media site against late night host/comedian Jimmy Kimmel. The odd, all-caps rant quickly went viral, inspiring Kanye West, Jimmy Kimmel and Yeezus all to become trending topics.

"JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," West's spiel began. "JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON'T TAKE IT AS A JOKE.... YOU DON'T HAVE SCUM BAGS HOPPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER."

West then went on to take some personal shots at Kimmel, but meant no disrespect to actor Ben Affleck, who Kimmel once paired up with in the viral video "I'm F**king Ben Affleck."

The "Black Skinhead" rapper did not finish out the evening's rant without creating a few new, foul-mouthed Kimmel-inspired memes.

So, what was offending skit that made West go off on Kimmel? It was short, not particularly well-executed parody of West's BBC interview with Zane Lowe. Kimmel recreated some of the more absurd statements West made using children actors.

Check out the sketch below.

In the middle of West's rant, Kimmel took to his own Twitter to deflect some of the remarks. "apparently @KanyeWest is VERY VERY ANGRY with me...." he wrote. "I'll tell you the whole story about @kanyewest tonight on the show - this is not a prank, I promise (unless it's being played on me)."

Sarah Silverman, Kimmel's ex-girlfriend who was mentioned in the fight addressed West's comment that she's funnier than him on her Twitter this morning (Sept. 27).
