Though Jai Brooks insisted that he and ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande were still "good friends" post-split, a different side of the story has been revealed by "The Way" singer's older brother, Frankie Grande.

Some fans of the Brooks, an Australian prankster and viral video star with the group Janoskians, have accused Ariana of cheating on Brooks with her new boyfriend, Nathan Sykes from The Wanted. On Sept. 25, her big brother took to his official Twitter account to clear the air on the reason for the break up and dispel any nasty rumors about Ariana.

"Anybody who believes that rumor about my sister needs to pause. Open their eyes and remember how much she loved him," he wrote. "He CRUSHED her w/ a phone breakup and to see Ari that miserable broke MY heart. It was a sad time for us all."

Then, Frankie went on to try and take the high road against Brooks, while saying glowing things about Ariana's new man. "I've nothing bitter or negative to say because my sisters finally happy again and ultimately that's all that matters. But spreading lies to get over a broken heart is just as bad as breaking someone's heart in the first place & I'd appreciate it not happen," said Frankie.

He then concluded his Twitter defense with a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Meanwhile, Brooks defended himself on Twitter, saying he'd been quite on the matter. "@FrankieJGrande don't u dare f*cking talk about me when u don't know sh*t. I havnt said anything, why do u feel the need to?" he responded. "When someone says sh*t to try and make me look bag, I am 100% going to stick up for myself. I don't care what anyone else says."

It seems as though things between Brooks and the Grande family have taken a sour turn since news of Ariana's relationship with Sykes became official. On Sept. 13, Brooks wrote on his Twitter that he attended one of Ariana's shows in Los Angeles and that the former couple were now "just friends."

However, since then, Ariana has unfollowed Brooks on Twitter, and things no longer seem friendly.
