Is the end of the Jonas Brothers here? The "First Time" band has cancelled their 19-date October tour, citing a deep rift between them, making the future of the boy band unclear.

Today (Oct. 9), the Jonas Brothers' representative, Jesse Derris told People that "there is a deep rift within the band," leading them to scrap their fall tour and promotion for their upcoming fifth studio album "V."

"There was a big disagreement over their musical direction," said Derris. According to People, there was a massive argument between the three brothers (Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas) over the weekend, which led them to cancel the tour, which was set to begin Oct. 11 in Pennsylvania.

What does this mean for the future of the Jonas Brothers? "It remains to be seen," said Derris.

The disagreement over musical direction within the Jonas Brothers shouldn't come as a huge shock to those who have been following the boy band closely. Following the release of their single "First Time" and their summer tour, the trio have been notably quiet regarding news for their upcoming album "V."

Originally scheduled for "sometime in the fall," no release date or further details have been given about "V" since early September, when they spoke about the modern influences on the record and their control over the music and marketing in an interview with Idolator.

Perhaps the lack of direction is what led to the rift within the Jonas Brothers. Musically, Nick lends more toward an indie rock sound, while Joe was more influenced by modern pop. Fans learned about the Jonas Brothers' musical differences when Nick and Joe released their solo efforts in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

Fans who purchased tickets for the Jonas Brothers' October tour will be able to receive full refunds.
