The Voice 2013: Maroon 5 Front Man Adam Levine, OneRepublic Lead Singer Ryan Tedder Reveal First Big Musical Moments [VIDEO]

Adam Levine is one of the judges on NBC's The Voice, which is currently airing Season 5. Ryan Tedder, the front man of OneRepublic, serves as a mentor on that same show as the two try to take the young, unpolished singers and turn them into stars.

But the two men also had to get their starts somewhere, and they shared those experiences in the following video:

Levine talks about Maroon 5's first big show when the band opened for John Mayer many years ago.

"Every artist, every band, when they're in the process of becoming hopefully very successful, there's always that moment...We opened for John Mayer once and it was a huge break for us so I'll always be grateful to him for that. I remember we played in front of our first arena crowd which was like 10,000 people and I remember being up there and being totally lit up by the whole thing, and I was just like, 'This is it. I want more.'"
