Selena Gomez Responds to 'Royals' Singer Lorde 'Come & Get It' Diss: 'I Don't Take It to Heart,' Says 'Stars Dance' Singer

"Royals" singer Lorde is not afraid to speak out. The 16-year-old New Zealand alt-rock Queen Bee has criticized her fellow pop stars Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift in the past, and now one of those divas is speaking out.

In an interview in September, Lorde criticized Gomez's lead "Stars Dance" single "Come & Get It," labeling the track and its singer anti-feminist. "I love pop music on a sonic level, but I'm a feminist and the theme of her song ['Come & Get It'] is, 'When you're ready, come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way," she said.

Now, Gomez has spoken out against the criticism.

In an interview with Hot 99.5 (via Idolator), Gomez responded to the anti-feminist allegations. "I appreciate everybody's opinion, especially because I've covered Lorde's music lots of times," she said. "In my opinion, it's not feminism if you're tearing down another artist. You know, she's young; she's got so much talent. So I don't take it to heart."

Of course, Gomez isn't the only female artist Lorde has spoken out against. She's also criticized Swift for being too perfect -- a sentiment she later apologized for. Her pop music critiques, also heard in her No. 1 single "Royals" led to Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas telling her to respect her peers on Twitter.
