The No. 10 LSU Tigers host the No. 17 Florida Gators Saturday in a showdown of SEC rivals. Both teams are potential national title game contenders as long as they don't lose another game this season, which obviously will happen to one of them today. This afternoon's game will be a matchup of the Tigers high-powered offense against one of the best defenses in the country. The question in today's game will be what wins out, defense or offense?

LSU is ranked ninth in the nation in points scored, averaging over 45 points per game. The Tigers lone blemish this season was at no fault to their offense, when they lost 44-41 to then No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs. Led by quarterback Zach Mettenberger's amazing year with 15 touchdown passes and only two interceptions, LSU has scored at least 35 points in each of their first six games. If the Tigers can continue that streak they will this afternoon. However, it won't be easy going up against a Gators defense that has allowed the second fewest yards per game in the country.

The Gators have also held opponents to a 12.2 scoring average so far this season, which is good enough to be tied for fourth lowest in college football. Simply put, something has to give.

Going into the game, injuries were a bit of a concern for the Tigers. However, Nola.com reports that Tigers head coach Les Miles expects Craig Loston, Jarvis Landry, and Tahj Jones to play.

This is a difficult game to predict. OddshShark.com has the LSU Tigers as a seven point favorite, but I am going to go with the Gators in an upset on the road. For fans curious as to where they can watch today's game, it will be airing on CBS, starting at 3:30pm ET. CBSSports.com also has a live online stream you can watch and follow here.
