Mariah Carey New Single 'The Art of Letting Go' Release Date Nov. 11: Follow Up to '#Beautiful' to Debut on Facebook Next Month [VIDEO]

After quite a long wait, a new song from Mariah Carey is on its way. Today (Oct. 14) the "#Beautiful" songstress announced that a new single, "The Art of Letting Go" will premiere on her Facebook page on Nov. 11.

"This song is so personal to me and I'm very excited to share this experience with you in such an intimate way," Carey announced on Facebook. "'I can't even know what to say!!!' We're less than a month away and I can't wait to answer all your questions and share this experience with you. Be sure to check back here every day for updates and all there is to know about 'THE ART OF LETTING GO.'"

Carey has 13 million likes on Facebook.

The announcement of "The Art of Letting Go" comes in the wake of Carey's scrapped album of the same name. Originally due out July 23 of this year, Carey announced on Twitter in June that the album has been delayed.

"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel like I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23. I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first 2 know," Carey wrote on June 25. That was just the most recent delay for The Art of Letting Go, which was originally due out in winter 2013.

Meanwhile, "The Art of Letting Go" will be Carey's second single of the year. In May, she released "#Beautiful" featuring R&B crooner Miguel. The song has since gotten several remixes, including a Spanglish version.

Carey is just one of several high profile artists who are using Facebook's new #NowPlaying feature to debut new songs and music videos. Jay Z and Justin Timberlake kicked off the project with the music video for "Holy Grail." Additionally, today (Oct. 14), Bruno Mars is set to debut the official music video for his fourth "Unorthodox Jukebox" single, "Gorilla."
