Kendall Schmidt of Big Time Rush is preparing to go on the road with his side project, the Heffron Drive Tour. The teen heartthrob told Huffington Post Teen that he will be going on tour this winter across North America. Heffron Drive is Schmidt's two-man band and pet project outside of his job with boy band Big Time Rush. The question remains, what does this mean for Big Time Rush's future?

The Heffron Drive Tour kicks off on Nov. 23 in Houston, Texas and runs until Dec. 22 in Los Angeles, California. Other notable stops on the tour will be Nov. 20 in Philadelphia, Dec. 2 in New York City, Dec. 4 in Boston, and Dec. 13 in Chicago. This is a big career move and opportunity for Schmidt who told Huffington Post Teen that he is excited for the opportunity.

"I couldn't be more stoked for the upcoming Heffron Drive U.S. Winter tour," Schmidt said. "This is the first time I've played shows in the U.S. since BTR, and I wanted give the past, present and future fans something special to talk about. We've got a full band this tour cranking out the classics, and also plan to debut new songs that have never been seen or heard before." According to Huffington Post, Kendall is promising surprises for every stop along the tour.

So what does this mean for Big Time Rush? Well, according to J-14.com, after the Internet went crazy with rumors of the band breaking up, Schmidt explained that they are still a band even though the show is ending. TMZ; however, reported that the band could be breaking up because of Carlos' relationship with his fiancée.

TMZ reports, "Carlos just got engaged, and his fiancée is demanding that he spend more time with her -- away from the group.  She feels he's not pulling his weight in the wedding-planning department, and Carlos is feeling the pressure."
