Jets Fan Punches Woman in Face [VIDEO] Man Accused of Striking Female Patriots Fan at MetLife Stadium Allegedly Once Killed A Man, Investigation Continues

In a shocking video from a fan in attendance during Sunday's game between the New York Jets and New England Patriots, a Jets fan is seen punching a female fan in the face. The female fan is seen wearing a red and white shirt in the video and is believed to be a Patriots fan. The video, which you can watch below, shows a number of fans at MetLife Stadium pushing and getting physical, when a male fan wearing a Jets jersey strikes a female fan in the face.

The video has gone viral, and the Jets have released a statement through their spokesman, saying the case is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police. Although security cannot be seen during the fight, the fan who sent the video to Deadspin said security eventually went after the guy seen throwing the punch in the video.

The fan who sent in the video said (via Deadspin):

Fight started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video. Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn't see what happened after that.

According to the New York Daily News, the man accused of punching the woman in the face, is a convicted killer! The Daily News reports that Kurt Paschke served three years in prison after fatally stabbing a 17-year-old during a fight behind a pizza parlor in Long Island.

Deadspin reported Monday afternoon that New Jersey State Police identified Paschke and questioned him. So far, a police spokesperson said that the incident is still under investigation. It remains to be seen if any charges will be brought against Paschke, but with video evidence showing the punch, it's hard to believe Paschke won't face some kind of repercussions. The Patriots and Jets have a passionate rivalry, but there is never an excuse for this type of behavior at a sports game or anywhere.
