Pearl Jam are in heavy promotion mode for their new, No. 1 album Lightning Bolt. In addition to an extensive US tour, the rock heavy hitters appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to perform their latest single "Sirens."

The live treatment of the slow-moving, heartbreaking track gave the song renewed life. Lead singer and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder's voice nearly cracked at points as he soared into the song's high notes.

Pearl Jam's performance on Jimmy Fallon comes in the middle of what the late night talk show host deemed "Pearl Jam Week." The occasion, meant to celebrate the band's long career in addition to its latest album, has been marked by various cover performances of some of Pearl Jam's earlier work.

On Monday, Chris Cornell and The Avett Brothers rocked out to "Footsteps"; Fleet Foxes took the stage and performed "Corduroy" on Tuesday and Dierks Bentley and friends performed "Alive" on Wednesday.

Pearl Jam are set to perform on Jimmy Fallon again tonight in a pre-recorded segment. The band itself will continue on its Lightning Bolt Tour in Hartford, Connecticut.
