Troubled rapper Chris Brown is in serious trouble with the law. TMZ is reporting that Brown was arrested in Washington D.C. early Sunday morning for felony assault after allegedly attacking a man. The incident occurred outside the W Hotel on K Street where Brown allegedly punched a man in the face.

Officials told TMZ that two women asked to have their picture taken with Brown when two men ran into the photo. Brown then allegedly exclaimed, "I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing," before allegedly throwing a punch at one of the men. According to the report, the man Chris threw a punch at never threw a punch of his own. The man who was punched reportedly went to the hospital while Brown is in police custody along with his bodyguard. The Washington Post reports that the victim has been released from the hospital and the other man with Brown has been identified as 35-year-old Christopher Hollosy.

This story is still very fresh and there are a lot of details that need to be confirmed. With any incident like this, you never know who to believe at first. However, if these details prove to be true, Brown could find himself in some serious trouble. Brown is still on probation for the 2009 case with Rihanna where Brown pleaded guilty to attacking his then girlfriend. This could end up being a violation of his probation and TMZ reports that if Brown violates his probation he could face four years in prison.

The Washington Post reports that Brown was in town Saturday night performing at a Howard University homecoming-related party. Brown has already had a rough few months. He suffered a seizure over the summer and also was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Brown eventually reached a compromise with the driver of the other car, but Brown had to cancel some shows due to his health and personal reasons.
