College Football Scores 2013: Ohio State vs. Purdue Preview, Prediction, Odds, TV Schedule

Ohio State finds themselves a part of the top five in college football along with four other undefeated teams. Add in the Miami Hurricanes who aren't far behind ranked seventh in the country at 7-0 and the Buckeyes can't afford to lose today. A Buckeyes loss against a 1-6 Purdue Boilermakers team isn't likely, but stranger things have happened in college football. You could argue, it's a game like this against an opponent that many overlook, that Urban Meyer should be worried about.

Ohio State is having a season worthy of national title game consideration, but as we all know, only two teams get the honor of playing in the big game. Right now the Buckeyes are ranked fifth in the nation, behind four other undefeated teams. They may need some help in order to end up in this year's national title game. However, they also have to take care of business on their end.

The Buckeyes are coming off a dominating 63-14 win over Penn State and look to have clear sailing until their final game of the season against the Michigan Wolverines. Ohio State has the fifth ranked offense in the nation, averaging over 47 points per game.

Ohio State has the ninth ranked rushing attack in the nation, but it's junior quarterback Braxton Miller who is the reason their offense has been so dominant. Miller is sporting a 168.5 quarterback rating with a 70 percent completion percentage, eleven touchdowns, and just two interceptions.

The Buckeyes have put up over 50 points three times this season scoring 52, 76, and then 63 last week. Today's game against Purdue could get ugly. OddsShark had Ohio State as 31 point favorites at the opening, but that may be kind. I think the real question should be, how many points will the Buckeyes score? I see Ohio State putting up over 50 points again on their way to another easy victory.
