Did legendary rocker Mick Jagger hit on Katy Perry when she was an 18-year-old backup singer? That is what the "Roar" singer told an Australian radio station recently. However, the Rolling Stones singer has since denied that he ever hit on the then teenage Perry who is 41 years younger than him.

Perry was apparently working as a backup singer on one of Jagger's songs at the time when he allegedly made a pass on her. "I actually went to dinner with him one time, and he hit on me one time when I was like 18 (or 19,)" Perry told Ash, Kip, and Luttsy.

Perry didn't seem too upset about the rock legend hitting on her adding, "But that was a long time ago, and since then he's been very kind - I got to sing 'Beast of Burden' on stage with the Rolling Stones."

Jagger, who would have been around 59-years-old at the time, has denied ever hitting on Perry. A rep for Jagger told the New York Daily News that Jagger, "categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry...Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."

This may be a case of misremembering the situation for one of the two huge music stars. The "incident," if you want to call it that, occurred eleven years ago to the now 29-year-old pop star and the 70-year-old rock legend. It's not like Perry said Jagger took her back to his hotel room and tried to hook up with her. This could be a case of different perceptions. My guess is that Jagger is a rather charming guy and very comfortable with women. Maybe Perry took Jagger's charm as being a pass. Or maybe he did make a pass on her and he just doesn't remember. I doubt Perry is the only girl Jagger has ever made a pass on.

Perry was in Australia promoting her new hit album Prism on Australia's version of "The X Factor," according to the Daily News.
