Don't look now, but Fred Durst is back. TV Guide reports that the Limp Bizkit singer and The CW have agreed on a one-hour TV series drama about his life. Durst created "The Noise" and he is also the co-executive producer of the project which follows the life of a young musical artist in the 90's who escapes a troubled home life by forming a hugely popular band. Yes, it sounds familiar.

CBS TV Studios is producing the series with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum working as the executive producers and Miles Feld as the writer. This latest project is the second attempt by Durst to produce a TV series about his life. According to TV Guide Durst's previous try was a sitcom called "Douchebag" that was developed by CBS.

TVGuide describes Durst's latest TV project as chronicling, "the rise of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tumultuous home life and forms a wildly popular band with a unique sound." According to Durst's IMDB page, he has nine credits as an actor, two as a director, and two as a producer. Durst has a producer credit for the 2013 movie "Pawn Shop Chronicles" which stars Paul Walker, Elijah Wood, Matt Dillon, and Brendan Frasier.

As for new Limp Bizkit music, the band is currently recording a new album titled Stampede of the Disco Elephants. They recently released their cover of Ministry's "Thieves." You can download the song for free here.

There has been a lot of talk about the album's release date, but so far fans have only gotten a few song releases. Durst released a single "Ready to Go" with Lil Wayne back in June. You can watch the music video for "Ready to Go" below along with Fred Durst's Instagram tease of "Thieves." What do you think will be more successful, Limp Bizkit's new album or Fred Durst's new TV project?
