Justin Timberlake covers Bell Biv DeVoe's 'Poison' during Brooklyn show

True facts: I was at a They Might Be Giants show last month, quite possibly the nerdiest place in existence -- and the crowd still lost their mind when the pre-show DJ dropped Bell Biv DeVoe's 1990 New Jack Swing classic "Poison." BBD has that power over people.

So, it should come as no surprise that the Barclay's Center went ape when Justin Timberlake threw a cover of the song into his setlist, complete with a dance break.

Of course, in the face of the 20/20 material the tour is supporting, the BBD shoutout is almost a cruel joke. JT's grown-folk orchestra pop kick is unlikely to create something as singularly joyous as Bell Biv DeVoe's most famous cut, which had an obvious influence on the former *NSYNC member, as anyone whose studied the late '90s boy band craze (or seen his era-lampooning digital shorts with Andy Samberg) can attest.

How do you think Timberlake pulled it off?
