Notre Dame vs Pittsburgh 2013 Preview: Prediction, Odds, Where to Watch, TV Schedule

Notre Dame hopes to continue their hot streak Saturday night when they travel to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers. Brian Kelly's team hasn't had quite the same luck or success that they had last year during their run to the national title game, but they have won four straight games and have looked impressive as of late. The Fighting Irish come into this game ranked 23rd in the nation and they must continue their winning streak if they want to stay in the top 25 the rest of the 2013 season.

Unfortunately for Kelly's squad, two losses to Michigan and Oklahoma earlier this season knocked the Fighting Irish out of contention for the national title game early. However, they have shown resolve as of late winning close games against Navy, USC, and Arizona State on their way to four straight victories.

Notre Dame hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire with their offense, but quarterback Tommy Reese has put together an impressive season with 22 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.

Despite Pittsburgh coming in with a 4-4 record and losing their last two games, I think they are more evenly matched against Notre Dame than most think. Notre Dame may have the luck of the Irish, but they can't keep banking on winning close games going down to the wire. Notre Dame has been finding ways to win close games recently, but if they end up in another nail biter with Pittsburgh Saturday night I think they will wind up on the losing end.

OddsShark had Notre Dame as 3.5 point favorites at the opening. I think this will be another close game for Notre Dame, but unlike last week against Navy, I don't see the Fighting Irish pulling out the victory.

Game time is 8pm ET. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
