Unfortunately, celebrity death hoaxes have become relatively common this day in age. With the world we live in and the constant 24/7 media cycle unfolding on the Internet, celebrity death hoaxes have become much more prevalent. The most recent celebrity death hoax victim is singer Celine Dion, with numerous Facebook posts suggesting that Dion had died in an accident. Usually, celebrities don't respond to these hoaxes behind just denying them, but Dion has since come out saying these hoax's make her "a little mad."

"Many years ago I [apparently] killed myself in my own garage," Dion told Digital Spy in an interview. "Don't ask me why I don't want to be a part of the showbiz industry!" According to Digital Spy, one of the recent death hoaxes claimed she had died in a car crash, while another claimed it was a plane crash.

Dion gets understandably upset about the rumors because of the effect they have on her family. Could you imagine if there was a death hoax spreading on the Internet about you and one of your loved ones had to read it!?

"Sometimes it's freaky because I have to call my family about it," Dion explained. "I was celebrating the birthday of my twins in Montreal and I was getting these phone calls saying there was stuff on Facebook that I was dead."

Dion goes on to tell Digital Spy that she worries about her mom and how she might react if she sees one of these death hoax's on the Internet. "The thing that worries me is my mom. It makes me a little mad - she's 86 years old and if I'm not on the phone telling her I'm OK four seconds after it's on the news... it doesn't matter what they say, it's the impact it has on your family," Dion said.
