It has been seemingly impossible to escape rapper Kendrick Lamar this year. From his explosive verse of Big Sean's 'Control' to his witty rap cypher at BET's annual Hip-Hop Awards, Lamar is everywhere. And now he can be seen on a newsstand near you.

GQ's new Man of the Year features Lamar on the cover, calling him the Rapper of the Year, BET reports.

In his controversial 'Control' verse, Lamar proclaimed himself the "King of New York." GQ took it upon themselves to crown Lamar also naming him "The Next King of Rap."

Lamar has earned himself a seat among hip-hop's heavy weights since the highly successful release of his 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' album last year and obviously he still reaps the benefits from his debut.

Inside, the magazine discusses Lamar's rise to stardom and, of course, his rap beef with Drake. The interview follows up on the aftermath of the beef. Lamar even stated that the two are "pretty cool," adding, "I mean I would be OK if we weren't."

50 Cent, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay-Z and even Drake are among Lamar's hip-hop counterparts who have graced the cover of GQ. Lamar is currently on tour with Kanye West as a guest on his Yeezus tour.

Justin Timberlake was also featured on a cover of GQ's Man of the Year issue. Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell and James Gandolfini are also featured inside the pages of the magazine. Check out both versions on stands now.

Who do you deem Man of the Year? Are you more Lamar or Timberlake?
