With a remake of Annie underway, actress Cameron Diaz used social media to reveal the look for her role in the upcoming film.

Diaz tweeted out a photo of herself in costume saying, "I want you to meet someone. Her name is Ms. Hannigan. She ain't nice and she ain't pretty. #Annie" In the 1982 film, Carol Burnett played the role of the drunk, man-hungry, rather dishevelled Miss Hannigan.

From the looks of Diaz's costume, it is evident that this remake of Annie will be like no other and in more ways than one.

This version of Annie will be set in modern-day New York and instead of a red-headed orphan the film will focus on a deeply charming African American girl.

The upcoming remake will star Jamie Foxx as millionaire Benjamin Stacks, the movie's equivalent to 'Daddy' Warbucks, with Australian actress Rose Byrne as his assistant. Beasts of the Southern Wild's Quvenzhane Wallis  will star in the title role.

The film is produced by Jay Z, who sampled a song from the musical on his 1998 hit "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" and actor Will Smith. Smith's daughter, Willow, was originally cast as Annie but she later dropped the role.

Directed by Will Gluck (Easy A; Friends With Benefits) and based on a screenplay by British actress and writer Emma Thompson, Annie is slated to be released on Christmas Day 2014. Yes, it's a bit of a wait.

Would you go to this movie on opening day? Why or why not?
