Colin Farrell's name has been attached to director Duncan Jones' (Moon) Warcraft movie for Legendary Pictures. The actor is well aware of the reports and had some glowing things to say about the project.

IGN recently talked to Farrell about his new film Saving Mr. Banks, and the actor brought up the Warcraft movie before the interviewer could even finish his question:

"IGN: Now, we're a video game site, and your name has come up a lot for -- .

Warcraft? Don't know what's happening, man. I read the script, if that's any use to you, and it's amazing."

Based on Farrell's comments there, he's enthusiastic about the movie and his potential role in it, but does not know any more details. He elaborated that he does not know what's happening with the film and does not know "where they are in the process."

Furthermore, Farrell revealed that he was never even a fan of the Warcraft games:

"What would be the big draw for you if it works out? Were you a Warcraft fan?

Not at all, no. The script was just really, really cool, and it's just a world that I never explored - and it's a really big and fantastical world. I can't imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is, Duncan, and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can't imagine what he'd do with this Warcraft."

Finally, Farrell said he could not reveal what character he would play because he doesn't even know!

"Can you say what character you were up for?

Can I? I probably shouldn't. I don't even know, actually, I'll just say that! I don't even know. We were just talking, and Duncan just said, 'There might be something in it for you!' And I said, 'Catering?' [Laughs]"
