On his Sirius XM radio show this week, personality Howard Stern announced that he would be returning for his third season as a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent. This announcement does not clear up the questions of the return of the other judges (Mel B., Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum), but at least we know a little about the future of the popular competition show.

"It started out as a goof. ... Now it's becoming a job," he said after revealing he figured he'd only do one season.

"I've been working a long time," he said in regards to the struggle he's gone through with this decision. "I really wanted to decide if this was going to take away too much ... free time. Did I really still enjoy doing it? Did I have something to say? Is it something I should be involved with still?"

He said his wife, Beth, told him to "just make a decision already. She couldn't take it [anymore]."

Stern also called his struggle with deciding whether to return or not "silly." The returning judge also thanked NBC for being so accommodating with his hectic schedule.

Though he is only "assuming" his fellow judges will return with him, Stern stated: "I will go back [for] one more season and sit there with the crew: Howie and Heidi and Mel and whoever."

He added: "Let's put it this way, when they [NBC] asked me if it was conditional, I said ... let them all come back."

Are you excited for Stern's return to the show?
