Kelly Clarkson announces pregnancy: 'Wrapped in Red' singer expecting first child with husband Brandon Blackstock

After weeks of hinting that she wanted a baby for Christmas and dodging the question from Jay Leno, Kelly Clarkson has confirmed that she is expecting her first child!

Last night (Nov. 19), the "Underneath The Tree" singer took to her official Facebook page and Twitter to make the big announcement in the simplest way possible: "I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever," she wrote.

Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock tied the knot on Oct. 20 in an intimate Tennessee ceremony. After planning a huge wedding day, the couple scrapped those plans for a small ceremony with just their immediate family at Blackberry Farms.

Soon after getting hitched, Clarkson made her desires to become a mama well known. In an interview with Valentine in the Morning, she revealed that all she wanted for Christmas was to be pregnant. Two weeks later, Clarkson appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and hinted that she may be with child as she and her husband were "practicing all the time." However, at that time she said she was not announcing anything.

Looks like she was waiting for just the right moment.

This will be the first child and the third for Blackstock. He has two kids (Savannah, 12, Seth, 6) from his first marriage. It is unknown how far along Clarkson is in her pregnancy.
