The Danish film Nymphomaniac has released its erotic trailer featuring Shia LaBeouf. We wrote about its leak on November 1st, but now the trailer is officially out. The film already appears controversial. The explicit trailer shows that there will obviously be a lot of erotic moments and straight up sex, following the sex addict woman Joe, played by French actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg.

In addition to all this, the film is made by Danish film director and writer Lars von Trier (Melancholia). Von Trier was banned from the Cannes film festival after a controversial 2011 appearance where he made comments about Hitler and finding out he himself was a Nazi. The Hollywood Reporter recounts that the festival deemed him a "persona non grata," then later said it was only for a year. He is now technically allowed back, but Nympomaniac will be released in Spain and Denmark on December 25th. This will disqualify the film from competing in the festival, according to Thierry Fremaux, Cannes festival director. Films shown at Cannes are exclusively premieres.

Slight plot spoiler ahead: Gainsbourg's character is retelling these sex stories after being saved from an abusive beating. Paste Magazine recently posted 16 of the very sexually-charged posters, featuring the rest of the cast, which includes: Stellan Skarsgard, Uma Thurman and Willem DaFoe. Shia LaBeouf is no stranger to naked. He has personally tweeted a very exposing picture in the past.

Warning: explicit content. The below is a "red band trailer," you must be over 17 years-old to watch it. It's also very NSFW -- Not Safe For Work!

The film hits theaters in 2014. Will you be going to see it?
