Glee is moving to Tuesdays, and will Jonathan Groff return?

Fans of Fox's Glee are used to seeing the show on Thursday nights, but the show will soon return to its former night as Fox shifts its lineup.

E! Online reports that Glee will move to Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. starting on Feb. 25. Greg Kinnear's new dramedy series Rake will take over Glee's Thursday slot and will air right after American Idol. The new show starts on Jan. 23.

Fox will move The Mindy Project and Dads off of Tuesday nights to make way for Glee. The new Tuesday night lineup will feature Glee at 8 p.m., New Girl at 9 p.m. and Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 9:30 p.m.

E! Online reports through Fox sources that The Mindy Project will likely return to Tuesday nights on April 1 with a special one-hour episode after Brooklyn Nine-Nine finishes its first season. Dads will air until Feb. 11 and could return in the future, but nothing is set in stone.

In other Glee news, a reader asked the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online if Jonathan Groff, who played Jesse St. James on the show, would return:

"Ashton: I'm loving the New York side of Glee (much more than McKinley), but I think it's missing Jesse St. James! Any chance Jonathan Groff would come back to Glee?

Sure, just wish for his HBO show to fail. But you wouldn't do that, would you? The Groff tells us that if Looking goes to series, he probably will have zero room in his schedule to make Glee happen. Maybe if Glee moves production to San Francisco, where Looking films..."
