Christina Aguilera's hair stylist on how to get her AMAs look

At the 41st American Music Awards, Christina Aguilera stood out among the rest of the music stars with her platinum blonde styled locks, old-school black winged liner and unexpected orangey pop of color. Celebrity stylist David Babaii gives use a how-to on what he did to create her hair look. But first, this is a rundown on her style that evening.

The dress: White satin gown by Maria Lucia Hohan with cut-outs at the waist, a slit up the side and a plunging neckline up top.

The accessories: Jimi Choo handbag, Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. 

The hair transformation: When Aguilera performed "Say Something" with A Great Big World, David turned those bouncy, tousled curls from earlier in the evening to a sleek bun with a braided headband. She also kept her makeup simpler and opted for a black dress.

How he did it: David took Aguilera's damp hair and blew it out straight with a center part. He tightly braided hair much of her hair at the nape of the neck and brought it over her head. After pinning with bobby pins, he put the rest of her hair in a low bun and sprayed with styling spray.
